Young adult ministry
Ministry to young adults at St. Mark’s Church centers around food and fellowship. In addition to the regular round of worship and events, young adults–Episcopalian or not–who are interested in an evening of fellowship, conversation, and a home-cooked meal gather twice a month for supper and conversation. This group of seekers, enquirers, and those engaged in the lifelong journey of learning includes singles/couples; students/non-students; LGBT folks/straight folks; church-goers/church-abstainers; introverts/extroverts–all God’s children are welcome.
We meet for food and fellowship engaging issues of faith and life as they arise. The group generally meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month when the UI is in session, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 S. Jefferson (across from the Moscow-Latah Public Library), or at the Rectory next door. On the first Sunday of the month, some of us carpool to Pullman for “Mosaic,” a community ecumenical contemplative worship service.
St. Mark’s is also part of the Campus Christian Center www.cccenter.org on the UI campus, and supports their programming, mission, and outreach as board members, volunteers, and donors.
